Sad news has touched hearts across the country—beloved actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner has passed away.
While vacationing with his family in Costa Rica, tragedy struck on July 20th. Warner was swimming with his daughter at Playa Cocles when a strong current pulled them under. Nearby surfers rushed to help and were able to rescue his daughter from the water. Another bystander located Warner and pulled him to shore, where CPR was immediately administered. Despite life-saving efforts that continued for nearly 40 minutes, Warner could not be revived.
Malcolm-Jamal Warner became a household name as the lovable Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show, winning over audiences with his charm and relatability. His career spanned decades, with roles in shows like The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Malcolm & Eddie, 9-1-1, and The Resident. In recent years, he was also recognized for his talent as a spoken word artist and had earned a Grammy nomination.
